When I pulled up in the Taxi, I couldn't believe my eyes! The house was beautiful! But, it wasn't until I gathered my belongings and entered the house did I finally realize why I was able to buy it so cheap.
There was nothing. The only thing it had was basic bathroom amenities and a few lights, there wasn't even any paint! It guess it was a good thing I brought my old sleeping bag because after having a look around I figured I'd be sleeping on it for a while as I saved up for a kitchen. It was the most important thing in my mind at the moment. I mean how am I going to eat?
I was making a lot of progress at work and had already earned my first promotion! But while I saved up for the kitchen I began eating at the coffee shop near the theater. It had great food and was very cheap. Since I was hanging around there a lot I also began making a bunch of new friends. And, it's where I met her.
Her name is Sugar Violet. She works here as a Pastry Chief. We hit it off really well. She loves music and art, and She even sells paintings in her spare time. We began hanging out at night on her brakes, just chatting and getting to know one another.
After a few weeks of this I gathered my courage and asked her out. I think the flowers were a nice touch.
We didn't do anything big or fancy since I was still saving money. But I took her out to dinner and afterwards to the beach and we ended up watching the stars together.
Just as we were saying goodnight. I took a chance and kissed her.
She smiled at me, "You call that a kiss? Let me show you how it's done."
And then she kissed me snd I swear I saw fireworks. We were officially a couple! We had a few more dates in the following weeks and I got another promotion!
With this promotion I was finally able to purchase a kitchen! Now I could show off my cooking skills to Sugar! Which is exactly what I did. It was Wednesday night, we were both off from work, and I invited her over for the first time. She was very surprised to see how empty it was but she laughed and told me it just needed a female's touch.
I cooked her my best dish and she seemed to really enjoy it. Afterwards I took her to see a movie, it was another great date.
It was a few days later and I'd just got off work, when I got a call from Sugar. It seems her Landlord was kicking her out because they decided they weren't going to be renting her home out anymore, and she was wondering if she could stay with me. I agreed and the next morning she arrived with all her possessions.
Since we were living together now I decided to use my next paycheck to get some paint. I didn't need a bed anymore since Sugar brought the one from her place and we were just fine sharing it together. I let Sugar pick out the colors since I really didn't mind so much. We got four different colors and since Sugar get's a discount at the paint store we got them less then the regular price!
It took us a bit to get settled in together, but we did and by that time I got anoter promotion! My career was really taking off!
With money now steadily coming I decided to take our relationship to the next level. Yep, I proposed! I took her to the beach where we had our first date and got down on one knee.
And if you didn't guess, she said yes! We're getting married!
